The Best 8T is a grade 1 deadbolt built to fits standard door preps. The 8T is often paired with a cylindrical lock in commercial office spaces, residential applications and other spaces where there is a greater need for security and, more specifically, a deadbolt that is more resistant to brute force attack. The 8T is also available with lead line options, making it a good solution for radioactive doors (MRI, x-ray, etc.) in healthcare facilities. The Best 6T is a grade 2 deadbolt that also fits standard door preps. With an adjustable 2-3/8″– 2-3/4″ backset, the 1″ throw deadbolt includes a hardened steel roller to prevent sawing through the bolt. The heavy-duty cylinders are through-bolted, with reinforced cylinder rings to protect against physical attack. Brass 6-pin cylinders are provided for security and durability. The solid steel strike plate reinforcement with 3″screws protects the door jamb against a kick-in attack.

Single Keyed Functions:

• K: Turnknob. Turning the key in the outside cylinder. Turning the inside turn lever.
• L: One-way deadbolt. Turning the key in the outside cylinder; the inside cylinder is blank
• M: Double cylinder. Turning the key in the inside or outside cylinder. The inside mounting screws are concealed
• S: Classroom one-way deadbolt. Turning the key in the outside cylinder. Turning the inside turn lever only retracts the deadbolt (available ONLY in 82T/83T). Note: Can’t throw the deadbolt.
• KL: Closet. Turning the turn lever only
