SDC’s Electric 7800 pro and mod series solenoid controlled mortise locksets replace existing mechanical or electrified mortise locksets for the access control of openings in commercial, industrial and institutional facilities where code compliance, dependable operation and resistance to physical abuse are required. These code compliant electric mortise locksets stay latched even when unlocked, maintaining fire door integrity and eliminate the need for exposed and vulnerable electric strikes and magnetic locks or request-to-exit devices. 7800 Pro series models incorporate a grade 1 heavy duty mortise lockset and vandal resistant clutch – proprietary to all SDC locksets. They replace most brands of mechanical locksets making them fully compatible with new and retrofit applications and provide field selectability of all operational attributes. All SDC mortise locks feature a mortise cylinder to manually retract the latch.

Applications:

• Failsecure Operation: Locked when de-energized, the failsecure mode is recommended for security applications, such as inner offices, equipment rooms and security mantraps. Loss of power causes all doors to lock. Battery backup is required for continued operation during a power loss.
• Failsafe Operation: Locked when energized, the failsafe mode is recommended for fire life safety applications, such as stairwell doors, perimeter exit doors and safety mantraps. Loss of power or a signal from the life safety system causes all doors to unlock for free uninhibited access and egress.
• Locked Both Sides: Unlocked by an access control, remote control or key from either side. Field reversible operation.
• 7830: Locked both sides, failsafe

• Deadbolt Security, Locked Outside Only: Deadbolt projected by key cylinder or thumbturn. Outside lever retracts deadbolt when electrically unlocked. Unlocked by an access control or key from the outside. Uninhibited egress at all times by turning the inside lever handle. Turning the inside lever will also retract the deadbolt.
• 7870: Deadbolt security, locked outside only, failsafe

• Deadbolt Privacy, Locked Outside Only: Deadbolt projected by key cylinder or thumbturn. Throwing deadbolt locks out electric operation of outside lever. Unlocked from the outside by key only.
