The EEX-W feature provides an internal blocking kit in the panic lock for use with rim or surface vertical rod (SVR) devices. EEX-W is perfect for use with delayed egress applications on garden center gates, amusement parks, sports arenas, swimming pool gates an other locations. EEX-W can also be used in controlled egress applications for perimeter fencing and courtyards in psychiatric areas, dementia units, memory care facilities, birthing centers, NICUs and other healthcare facilities where code officials have final approval. EEX-W permits these applications to provide the safety and/or security where occupants’ safety is the main concern. The EEX-W does not include logic circuitry. A logic controller is required, such as the 106595-1 power supply/logic controller in NEMA 4X enclosure, and must be connected to fire alarm override.
