• The HIT-60B drill guide provides an easy and accurate way to drill the wire raceway required for electrified locks. Simply drill from a hinge cut out to the desired location on the opposite side of the door. In most cases the door can remain mounted in the jamb, it just needs to be able to open about 100 degrees for clearance. The HIT-60B drill guide can be adjusted to the angle from door hinge to lock. Both drill guide and clamps are rubber lined to protect the door and provide a positive grip. Standard HIT-60B will drill a 1-3/4” door with a 3/8” diameter hole. The HIT-60B is supplies with two high speed drill bits. One 24in and one 48in. The 24in is used first. Being shorter, there is less flex on the bit. Once drilled to depth, change to the 48in bit. With almost half the bit in the door, there is less flex in the longer bit. “intended for use on non-fired rated doors only”
